The former residence of the Count of Ximonde, descendants of the ancient and powerful Cisneros lineage, is a monumental Baroque building surrounded by an extensive walled estate of 12 hectares, located some 15 km from Santiago de Compostela.

The property has large grounds where water is a major presence in ancient fountains, canals and ponds. There are also wooded areas
with unique specimens of cork oaks, olive trees, chestnut trees and cedars.

There are vineyards –considered the oldest in Galicia– on the property, and a traditional wine press, located in a winery where production was bottled. This tradition was the inspiration for an ambitious winemaking project.

In recent years we have planted 10 hectares of new vineyards of Albariño grape. In the future we will market a single variety under the Denomination of Origin Rias Baixas, in the Ribeira do Ulla subzone. This is a new and exciting project for us. We are looking forward to releasing our first vintage in 2014.
